Say goodbye to May...

Where has the time went? the months are just passing by so fast, you bat an eye and you miss something.
We had a wonderful weekend at the campground, cook outs, boating (no swimming thought, the water's still a bit cold), being with family and taking lots and lots of photos (I think I got enough in one day to fill a book LOL).

I hope everyone has had one awesome weekend!! We have been out to the campground, having a wonderful time with the family. We are getting ready to head back out in a bit (today is going to be the nicest day of them all). Thought I'd try and sneak out this morning before it started to rain. Sean was being a booger and didn't really want to wear the suit, so it took longer to get him dressed this time. We made it out- I got 8 shots and it's started to rain. Here are my 3 favoite. I will have to try this again- maybe in a different location ;)

Trying something new...

So I posted a thread on 2peas asking what peoples biggest weakness in photography was:

For me...white and full sun. So I set out to try to get some shots of Sean in a white shirt later in the day (not full sun LOL). But I think I did okay with these, I didn't blow them out!!! I used AWB for the WB and I'm not sure if the colors look dead on or not, but it was fun to challenge myself;)

Yeah, and this one- I had to do a lot of PP (had time to kill and felt like playing). I took 2 photos back to back, one metering for the sky and one metering him and combined the 2.

This one was taken from the opposite side.
Anyone have any big plans for the weekend? We are going out to the campground (kinda a tradition to get the season started;) Can't wait for the campfires and cooking out on that grill mmmmmmm yummy!!! Speaking of camp fires, anyone make banana boats? if not you really need to try them....you take a banana put a long slit in the top, down the middle and stuff it full of marshmellow and chocolate, wrap it in tinfoil and throw it over the fire. You will need a spoon to eat it, it's messy but really yummy!!

Why can't they last longer? they always seem to fly by (even when your stuck at home with nothing to do)!!!
I haven't really taken to many photos- just not in the mood I guess. I feel that I am always shooting the same pose and whatnot. I did get a few over the weekend of Sean and his lil friend, but nothing to special.
Anyone watching The Bachelor tonight? Who do you think he's going to pick? Oh, I just can't wait LOL!!!!

I was able to add this feature to the old blog and tried many times on this one and think I finally got it to work. I may go back to a public blog (watermarking over faces, because I know there are ways around this). So can you right click and save?

Well...........

I had my 2nd opinion today, the Dr was really nice. The hospital was huge!!!

He said it will need to come out eventually (not today, next week or even next month). He said that he could take it out for me if I wanted or we could try the meds (with only a 10% chance of them working) it was up to me. Well for now I chose the meds- if he could have gotten me in by the end of the month I would have chosen surgery. You see the thing is, Jerrys company was bought out...he still has his job (Thank God and hopefully they will keep him working at this company), but the insurance we have now (Blue care network) will change as the new company has HAP HMO. Well Dr. Chandler doesn't take HAP so when I do have it taken out, I will prolly have to go to Henery Ford in Detroit. He looked at the MRI's and didn't see any growth, so that was good. He had said that the risks of surgery were very low for me (1% chance of bleeding, 1% chance of leeking fluid and so on), he said that he did 2 surgerys yesterday and has done thousands of them. He answered all my questions- well they don't know what causes the tumors, but he thinks it's been there for quite a while. When I do have the surgery, they will go up through my nose and remove it. I will be there overnight and will go home the next day- don't sound to bad does it :) I guess that once it is taken out, there is always a chance that it will come back- so I may have to deal with this for the rest of my life, who knows.

I did end up killing 2 birds with one stone today though, on the was home from Ann Arbor I called my family Dr to see if they could get me in today. I have had a UTI since Friday and let me tell you, it hurts like hell (I have blood in my pee). I bought some stuff over the counter called AZO and was taking that and it was helping a little, well today they couldn't get a reading from my urin (It makes your pee orange/yellow) and I was so scared that he wasn't going to give me a script for it (after waiting an hour and a half to see him) but he did and I got it filled- just waiting for it to kick in.

I have a few projects that I need to work on, but it's been a long day so far and we are going to be getting some bad storms soon- so I think I will just take the rest of the day off and get some rest!

Went in tonight to get my new films, the report and the older films (that had all my paper work for the 2nd opinion in with them- because they needed to see them) and with my luck, the guy said that they couldn't find my stuff. They didnt have my new films printed up yet so I had to wait for those, and then I asked about the report (I signed papers so I could pick one up for myself today) and he told me that they would mail me the report. So I know nothing- once again!! I will be going back tomorrow to see if they found my stuff and if they haven't, they better watch out- that's all I have to say. I NEED all that stuff for Tuesday, for the 2nd opinion that I have been waiting for and if I don't have it, I can't go!

Why can't people have their shit together- sigh!!!
